Vice-President Kamala Harris Swears in 3 New Democratic Senators

Vice-President Kamala Harris wasted no time to begin work, just as President Joe Biden is now in the White House. President Biden’s first order of business, to sign 15 Executive Orders, mostly to overturn the Executive orders of his predecessor. Kamala Harris on the other hand is now back at the U.S. Capital, where she begins her job, just hours after being sworn in as Vice-President. So the real work started today. As her new role as President of the U.S. Senate, she had to swear in 3 new Democratic Senators, that allow ,,,, to take control as the Speaker of the U.S. Senate.

The Senators elected are as follows:

Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff of Georgia, the Rev. Raphael Warnock of Georgia and Alex Padilla of California.

It is important to note that the Democratic Senators of Georgia ran against their Republican incumbents and won their office in the runoff election in Georgia that turned over the U.S. Senate to the Democrats. Now as they are sworn into office by Vice-President Harris, the Senate changed control from the Republicans to the Democrats, thanks to Vice-President Harris, as she is the tie-breaker in the Senate. Her future vote will be very influential in close voting challenges in the Senate. Her vote can make the difference. Many of Joe Biden’s policies will become law because of Kamala Harris.

Details regarding the backgrounds of each of the new Senators will be highlighted in future articles.
